Purpose: to challenge myself to go strictly Primal for as long as I can. That's the challenge. I will be following The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson and using Crossfit as my main source of exercise. I have 100lbs to lose and I'm tired of dieting. It's now or never. Go.

Intro

Hi. Wait, don't leave yet!

Just kidding. Here's a bit about my purpose here.

In January of 2010, I began a fitness program called Crossfit. Love it. I hate exercising, but I love Crossfitting. A common denominator among the many perfectly toned Crossfitters is something called 'Paleo' or 'Primal'. Basically, it's where your diet consists only of things that were available to humans in the Paleolithic era. Veggies, some fruits, meat and nuts and seeds. Primal allows for some dairy and a little more wiggle room.

I've decided to go Primal by following the guide outlined in The Primal Blueprint. It's a book. Basically, you follow the ten Primal Blueprint Laws. They are:

To eat lots of plants and animals
Avoid poisonous things
Move frequently at a slow pace
Lift heavy things
Sprint once and a while

Get adequate sleep
Play
Get adequate sunlight

Avoid stupid mistakes
Use my brain.

So basically, I need to start eating fruits and veggies and fish and chicken and nuts and seeds, avoid fast food joints and pizza and soda, cut out grains and sugar, walk my dogs a whole lot more, get my butt to crossfit, run around, sleep enough, jam with my dogs and have fun, be outside in the sun, not go rockclimbing barefoot or without ropes, and to engage my brain more by reading more and watching tv less. Does this sound difficult to you? It doesn't to me. So let's try it.

I am currently 280lbs. I want to be 180lbs. That's an easy 100lbs. Well, not easy. But its a clean number and I like clean things. I don't care if nobody reads this blog. But I do care that I get on here every single day to record something. Just in case somebody reads me.

If you have questions, ask me. I'm happy to share my experiences with you and introduce you to this as well!
I'm an average, plain jane, southern minnesotan-er who is overweight and trying to do something about it. I have tried every diet and pill out there with no success. This has to be it.

It has to be.
